Why a cat holiday?
Singles' Day started in 1990s Nanjing as a student joke about being single — 11.11, four ones standing alone. It grew into the largest shopping day on earth, and somewhere along the way it stopped being about being alone and started being about treating yourself.
We're a cat store, so we read it slightly differently. A cat is the best flatmate you'll ever have: no small talk, no split bills, and a firm opinion about every chair you own. So we took the day and handed it to them.
